Six educational awareness documentaries, in the field of biodiversity and environment, the title ‘Trots op ons bos’ were produced in collaboration with the National Foundation Children Books Festival Suriname. Next to the incorporation of sign language and English text, a compilation of those six documentaries were made.

Via the National UNESCO Commission Suriname (NUCS) the Foundation SOBA received a grant for the production of two documentaries, in Dutch and English, about the savannahs of Suriname with the title: Strolling through the savannahs of Suriname part 1 and 2 (white sand, brown sand and rock savannahs).The documentaries were presented to the ministry of Education, Science and Culture in the form of DVDs to be distributed to the colleges throughout the country.

The legal protection of the Coronie Freshwater Swamp, an ombrogenous Holocene swamp, which is located in the district of Coronie, was justified in a study that was financed by Conservation International Suriname.

A book Magnifieke Mangroves (Magnificent Mangroves) was translated to Dutch from the original English version and additional information about the mangroves of Suriname added by the co-author. This was performed in collaboration with Mangrove Action Program, UNDP-Suriname & WWF-Suriname. The co-author is the founder of the SOBA Foundation and photographs from her personal field collection were added to the text.

This study was conducted in the community of La Prosperité to gather information on their economical and development needs. It was financed by the GEF/ UNDP Small Grants Program and the report can be consulted at the office or website of the donor organization.
